What AWOG Does

AWOG has a longstanding and positive image in Greece. AWOG supports a wide range of community services, from help to cancer victims, elder services, orphanages, the disabled, soup kitchens and abused women and children.

We are able to fund these services because of the untiring work of our membership which comes together and works for our Annual Christmas Bazaar at which we make the money with which we support our charities and because of the support and assistance of our sponsors who contribute products or monetary donations in response to our requests. The members of the organization have donated countless hours of time and raised significant amounts of money to help many institutions throughout Greece.

Many of our members do hands-on work at many of our charities including Caritas, Kivotos, MERIMMHS and PIKPA.  Our dedicated members also sew pillows for the AWOG Heart Pillow Project and distribute these lovely hand-made pillows “made with love” to oncological hospitals within Attiki.

AWOG also receives grants to assist Greek charities through it’s sister organization–FAWCO
