Who we Are
The American Women’s Organization of Greece (AWOG), founded in 1948, is an English-speaking, non-profit, and non-partisan group (σωματείο) of women committed to amplifying their voices, building meaningful connections, and making a lasting impact through community service.
Our diverse membership of American and International women of all ages and from all walks of life, and their friends in Greece share a passion for connection and personal growth through meaningful engagement. Whether you're new to Greece or a long-time resident, we provide a welcoming and supportive community where friendships flourish, ideas thrive, and collective action drives positive change.
Our Mission
We believe in the power of women coming together to create positive change and this is how we do it:
Commnunity Service. We organize fundraising initiatives and hands-on volunteer efforts that touch the lives of many.
Foster Community & Connection. We provide a platform for cultural exchange, networking, and lifelong friendships.
