Reviving the Magic, Building the Future.
On a sparkling evening of celebration and purpose, the American Women's Organization of Greece hosted its first Fundraiser Gala in recent years, bringing back the magic of our iconic Moonlight Balls, a cherished tradition from our early days. Since our founding in 1948, much has changed, but one thing remains constant: our ability to unite people and make a lasting impact.
This gala was more than just an event; it was a heartfelt tribute to the thousands of women who have walked through AWOG’s doors over the past 76 years, finding friendship, support, and purpose. It was proof that our mission is as meaningful and vital today as it was 76 years ago.
The Gala highlighted our organization’s ability to unite women from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences from all walks of life. Each member, brings something unique, and together we share a common purpose: to connect, support one another, and make a lasting difference.
As the only official American Women’s Organization in Greece, we thrive independently, focused on addressing the needs of our members and the communities we serve. Rooted in tradition but always evolving, we’re proud of what we’ve built and look forward to creating even more opportunities for growth and impact.
This incredible evening would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors who we are deeply grateful for:
The Coca-Cola Company: Special thanks to our member, Elaine Bowers-Coventry, President of East Operations Europe, Coca-Cola Company, for sponsoring our soft drinks.
KPMG: For sponsoring our event planner, Just As You Dream It, who created the beautiful centerpieces and decorations that made the evening truly magical.
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to our amazing members:
Elayne Moisey and her husband Roger, for generously sponsoring two tickets.
Jeannie Malliaris-Mulkey, South Area Representative and co-inspirator of the event, for sponsoring a ticket.
Teresa Briasuli and Sophia Haritos/Chicago-based member, for co-sponsoring a ticket.
Georgia Kallis, AWOG Secretary and FAWCO Human Rights Team Member, for sponsoring the champagne and involving her daughter as a volunteer, embodying AWOG’s commitment to mentoring future generations.
Here’s to the magic of the past, the strength of the present, and the bright future we’re building together!
